Friends and Family,
As most of you know, in June of 2009 Jamie and I relocated to Fort Collins, CO and joined with Mountain View Community Church to prepare to plant a church in Denver. Over the past nine months our God has wisely redirected our steps, and we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity that the Lord has put before us. “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
Five years ago Mountain View planted a church in Windsor, CO, and that church then planted another church in Greeley, CO. A pastor named Aaron Santini from the church in Greeley had a heart to plant a church that would reach out to the many unbelievers and unchurched in south Fort Collins. He began with a small life-group last summer (five people), and the Lord has since grown that life-group significantly. Please be praying that God would continue to grow and use these men and women to accomplish His work in Fort Collins and abroad.
Throughout the past few months the Lord has been clearly directing Jamie and I to plug into The Crossing to use our gifts to help lead and disciple this growing church body. I am currently preaching monthly as well as helping out with our weekly leadership training and prayer group. Starting in March I will also be leading a group for the young professionals and college age in the church. Aaron has also asked if I would head up some of the administrative tasks (website, media, etc.).
As my responsibilities began to grown, my ability to care for my family and serve the church was limited by my job in Westminster, CO (which removed me from Fort Collins 55-60 hours per week). Because of this growing tension, and after much prayer and counsel, I resigned from my job in Westminster, and God immediately provided me with a 30hr/week job in Fort Collins which has enabled me to spend more time serving in the church while not neglecting my family. Ultimately, my heart’s desire is to be freed-up to serve this church body as much as possible. I trust that God will provide for our needs, and we would covet your prayers as we pursue this calling. Also, I am asking if you would be willing to pray about joining us in this ministry by partnering with us for one year on a monthly basis. I recognize that there are many ministries in need of money and many believers in difficult financial trials, but I am confident that our God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If you would please be praying about how you could be involved in what God is doing for His glory in Fort Collins, we would be very thankful.
Whether you feel led to partner with us prayerfully, financially, both, or neither at this time, please take two minutes to let us know by filling out the form below. This will also allow you to request regular ministry updates. You may also contact me directly with any questions or comments. Again, thank you for your willingness to pray about this, and please be praying that the Lord would accomplish great things for His glory in Fort Collins through The Crossing.
For Christ and His Kingdom,
Gary, Jamie and Noah McQuinn
